Race fuel concentrate to be mixed with pump gas to raise octane level up to 105 octane 1 case of 6 - 16 oz cans
Race Gas® is a specifically formulated fuel concentrate that transforms gasoline from any gas station into a high-octane, high-energy racing fuel suitabe for professional competitive use. Race Gas® has been laboratory tested and race proven to perform in any gasoline-powered engine. The Race Gas® blend results are shown as an Anti Knock Index (AKI), the average of the Research Octane Number (RON) and the Motor Octane Number (MON) [written as (R+M)/2]. This is the same measurement that race fuel manufacturers use to measure the octane of their fuel. Other products on the market blend to the RON, which taken alone is a poor representation of octane for racing conditions because it represents fuel performance in the engine at low temperatures and low speeds not typical of racing conditions. Also, other similar products only raise the octane level of gasoline by a few points, meaning they cannot raise the level of octane in gasoline to the level found in racing fuel. Race Gas® has been tested and proven to increase the octane of pump gas to as high as 100 to 105 AKI (R+M)/2 when balanced with gasoline as specified in the Race Gas® blend chart. In addition, other products only increase the octane, but Race Gas® also raises the chemical/BTU energy of the base fuel to equal that of racing fuel. This is very important because low energy with high octane will lean out the engine significantly at Wide Open Throttle. Race Gas® contains many chemicals that fall into (3) primary groups: fuel hydrocarbons, oxygenates, and organometallic compounds. Each group of compounds is found in typical gasoline. However, what makes RACE GAS different are the individual chemicals that were chosen from each group.
  • Transforms ordinary pump gas into race gas when blended to the proper ratio
  • Proven to perform in any gasoline powered engine
  • Has been proven to increase the octane of pump gas as high as 100 to 105 octane

Information:

Race Gas® blend results are shown as an Anti Knock Index (AKI), the average of the Research Octane Number (RON) & the Motor Octane Number (MON) [written as (R+M)/2]. This is the same measurement that race fuel manufacturers use to measure the octane of their fuel. Other products on the market blend to the RON, which taken alone is a poor representation of octane during racing conditions because it represents fuel performance in the engine at low temperatures & low speeds not typical of racing conditions. Conversely, the MON represents fuel performance at high temperatures & high speeds when the engine is under load. Therfore, averaging the RON & MON to get the AKI is the best way to represent fuel behavior during racing conditions since it considers fuel performance under both idle & work load conditions. Race gas contains chemicals that fall into (3) primary groups: Fuel Hydrocarbons, Oxygenate, & Organometallic Compounds. Each group of compounds is found in typical gasoline. What makes Race Gas® different are the individual chemicals chosen from each group. While the exact recipe is proprietary (patent pending), the family of compounds used can be shared. Fuel Hydrocarbons contain carbon & hydrogen that produce H2O & CO2 when oxidized (burned). Saturated Hydrocarbons have high octane ratings & contain extra carbon atoms that produce more energy during combustion. Oxygenates add oxygen to gasoline, which creates efficient combustion & complete fuel burning. The oxygenates in Race Gas® are not derived from alcohol & do not damage fuel system or engine components. Organometallic Compounds are added to increase the Octane. When lead in gasoline was banned, refiners turned to other metallic compounds like manganese, iron, nickel & magnesium. Race Gas® believes manganese has the best effect on octane & the synergistic effect with the other compounds in Race Gas®. As a result, Race Gas® contains the highest quality methylcyclopentadienyl manganese tricarbonyl or MMT.
